Monday Blog

Today I decided I would try to make a blog post every Monday to talk about my weekend. But first things first, how was your weekend? Feel free to leave a comment! Let's see. Friday after school I went home and basically just chilled. Played some Skate 3 and a few games of rush on Battlefield 3. I wrote some lyrics in my notebook. A night like any other night. Saturday I worked six hours. I am an associate at a small toy store in the middle of a Tanger Outlet Mall. I got off work at 5 and met up with my friend Michael. There was a school dance that night but some bad things happened, some good friends ditched us and we decided not to go. Instead we went to a mall about a half an hour away. While we were there I bought an album I never thought I would get. It was Paramore's album Riot! For a few years there was three bands who I hated with a burning passion hotter then the fires of hell itself. Those bands were Linkin Park, Nickelback, and Paramore. I still hate the first two but the latter, for what ever reason, has started to sound good for some reason. I really don't even know why I hated them. So I bought the album and then we hung out and played some Battlefield and watched some YouTube videos. Sunday was just like Friday except I worked six hours that day too. So overall this weekend was kind of boring. Next weekend promises to be way better. Me and some friends plan on doing something that I'll explain in another blog later this week. So until then, I'm sorry this blog was a bit boring and I promise to have something better to write about next time. Thanks for reading!

The First Post (About Me)

My name is Cody Thomas, I live in a small town in Iowa. At the time of me writing this I am seventeen. I was born on February 22, 1994. I've lived in Iowa my whole life. I live with my mother and my step father. I have one sisters, she is 23 at this time she lives with her husband. I plan on moving out of my house and into a trailer with a few roommates as soon as the trailer gets unoccupied. I plan on attending college although I am not yet sure on what I am going to major in. I am really interested in music. My favorite genre is metal. I really only listen to metal, rock, and a bit of dubstep. Honestly I don't like anything else. I do have a few rap songs on my iPod, but only about three. I grew up around country music, being forced to listen to it all throughout grade school and I slowly began to hate it. I also hate most pop, some of it is alright but usually I can't stand it. I am starting up a band called Fate Has Fallen. I sing, my friend Michael Davies plays bass, and Colton Sanchez plays drums. We have a session guitarist right now but he will be unavailable after February so we are trying to find a replacement for him. Some of my favorite bands include MetallicA, Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Motionless in White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megadeth, Slayer, the list goes on and on. I've been to two concerts and one day long festival. The first show I was ever at was Flyleaf and Story of the Year on the Unite and Fight tour on October 2, 2010. I then saw Stillwell, In This Moment, Sevendust, Disturbed, and Korn on the Music as a Weapon tour on March 25, 2011. Then I saw Facecage, Art of Dying, Escape the Fate, Rev Theory, My Darkest Days, Black Label Society, Saliva, Bullet For My Valentine, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, and Avenged Sevenfold at Lazerfest 2011. I plan on going to Lazerfest 2012 this May, they have not yet announced the line up.

I also play Xbox. My Xbox Live Gamertag is "Pappa Nickles." The games I am playing now are Skate 3, Battlefield 3, Rock Band 3, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, and Dead Island. If anyone wants to play any of those games, or various others with me hit me up with a friend request on Xbox and send me a message. I'm usually always in a party so go ahead and join if you see me online. I plan on updating this blog when ever I find something interesting to blog about. Keep in touch!
